Description
For any effective governing board, having a well planned, strategically designed reporting process is essential. Boards should give clear direction to their principal to report cleverly and strategically, using different types and styles of reports to deliver different types of information. A reporting policy with the right framework and permissions should allow the principal to zero in on what matters when it matters, leaving out unnecessary management detail and greatly minimising time wasted on reports which are irrelevant and/or not important. At the same time principals should be free to write minimal or no wording in a report which still conveys important information.
