We recently invited Al Fone to undertake a training session with our incoming Board of Trustees. All trustees found the session extremely worthwhile, regardless of prior experience. The most valuable aspect of the session was the straightforward and easily-comprehensible way Al unpacked the roles of governance and management in an educational context; explaining how they differ and how they interact. The board came away from the session feeling confident that they understood their roles as school trustees, and suitably equipped to work together for the benefit of every child at Harewood School. I consider four hours with Al to have been an invaluable investment, and would not hesitate to recommend him to other school boards looking for external input.
